Fly with Merlin Balloons at Chapel Down Winery, Tenterden

Merlin Balloons are pleased to announce that we now fly from the exclusive venue of Chapel Down Winery and Vineyard. Set in the Garden of England near Tenterden, Kent, Chapel Down is the perfect setting from which to enjoy a hot air balloon flight.

Our balloon flights can be tailor-made to fit your corporate needs. We can collect your party from Ashford International station and transport you to Chapel Down Winery. There an experienced guide who will explain about the history of English wine, the methods they use in the vineyards and the reasons for the grapes they choose to grow, will greet you. The tour continues in the winery where you will learn about the process behind the production of their award-winning still and sparkling wine. All tours include a tasting of a selection of award-winning wines. You will then have a chance to wander around the vineyards, grounds and herb garden.
Following the tour your ground crew from Merlin Balloons will greet you and the second half of your adventure will begin. If the weather conditions are favourable for a launch from Chapel Down the balloon will be inflated and you will soon br drifting gracefully into the skies above Kent.
Once airbourne you will be served a glass of Chapel Down reserve sparkling wine to compliment the beautiful views over Kent. The flight duration is approximately 1 hour but the whole experience will be between 3-4 hours.
We can accommodate groups of 6 - 20 passengers, and our crew can wear branded t-shirts with your company logo if required to add that corporate feel. Contact our office for a tailor made quote.

Upon landing you will be served a chilled glass of Chapel Down reserve sparkling wine while your crew pack the balloon away. You will then be transferred back to Chapel Down where you can continue, if you choose, in dining at the Richard Phillips Restaurant. This would be a day you will never forget!
